It is quite common to read about women, menopause, symptoms and treatments. Only until recently, the subject has never been spoken about regarding men although men do have physical changes in life. The life change for men is referred to as andropause.

The male body has a gradual decrease in the production of testosterone. The decline of the hormone creates certain manifestations such as:

* Tiredness - not feeling rested no matter what

* Being Cranky and of poor disposition

* Depressed and temperamental

* Loss of the size and strength of muscles

* Brittle bones that have lost mass and strength

* Loss of libido

* Problems sleeping

The posture and structure of the body starts to change as early as the late 30's and continues to charge through till older age. A man may start with a little extra weight around his waist and as time goes by, more weight is added on. Then the back starts to hunch and the muscles start to become flab, too. Then as one becomes older and older, he shrinks in height.

It used to be that men would accept this change of life and just carry on. Loved ones around him noticing the changes and just chalked it up to how life is.

The truth is, modern men do not have to continue in agreement with their forefathers, just as women of today do not have to. The simple remedy is to naturally correct the hormone balance.

Instead of animal, synthetic or chemical hormone therapy, a modern man can receive hormone tests by a qualified physician and receive BHRT. BHRT is Bio-identical Hormone Replacement Therapy. It uses natural ingredients to balance all the hormones, not just testosterone. By doing so, men can enjoy a new vigor for life.

There are some misconceptions as to what gynecomastia really is and how it is treated as compared to pseudogynecomastia. Hopefully this article will help clear it up.

The condition of gynecomastia cause men to grow actual breast tissue and that causes them to develop man boobs. It is most common in young boys ages 8 - 14, but adult cases of gynecomastia are becoming more frequent.

Because pseudogynecomastia has the same effect as gynecomastia many people think that it is caused by the same thing. However, they are entirely different conditions. Pseudogynecomastia is caused by a buildup of fat in the chest and gives the appearance of having man boobs.

Because the causes of the conditions are different the way that they can be treated are different as well.

For boys gynecomastia well generally go way with the onset of puberty. For adult men the treatment becomes more serious, doctors either use hormone therapy or male breast reduction surgery get rid of the man boobs.

Pseudogynecomastia is much simpler, because the treatment for boys and adult men are exactly the same, exercise and weight loss. Because the pseudogynecomastia is caused by a fatty build up in the chest, the appearance of man boobs are generally reduced with the reduction in weight and build up of muscle.

The consult of a doctor should be sought by men with gynecomastia because they will be able to recommend the best treatment for their particular case. If surgery is the most effective option, then you should find a quality plastic surgeon that has done many male breast reduction surgeries before. Ask to see some before and after photos of previous cases to see how effective their work is. Go to You Tube and do a search for "male breast reduction surgery", there are some very informational videos for you to watch.

Guys who have pseudogynecomastia should seek to find a suitable weight loss program that fits in with their life style as well as maximizes fat burning. There have been a few programs developed for the sole purpose of helping men get rid of their pseudogynecomastia, just do a search for "Man Boobs Solutions" on Google and you will get some good results.

I hope this article has helped clear up any misconceptions that you may have had about gynecomastia and pseudogynecomastia for more information please see the resource box below.

Prostate cancer survival depends on the stage in which the patient is diagnosed to have the cancer and also upon other factors like his race, his family cancer history, and his life style and dietary habits. The age at which the cancer strikes the patient, by and large mostly determines prostate cancer life expectancy.

Almost all health experts are of the view that the detection of the cancer at a very early stage is singularly beneficial in containing the metastasis (spreading to other parts of the body) of the cancer. If metastasis occurs the survival of the patient becomes questionable. At the same time they are of the view that doing biopsy to patients above 70 is also very harmful. This might affect their prostate cancer life expectancy.

Prostate cancer survival depends on the efficiency with which it is diagnosed. This is done by grading and staging. In staging method, four stages A, B, C, and D have been postulated depending on the severity of the disease. Stage A represents confinement of cancer within the prostate, Stage B palpable nodule formed but limited to the area of prostate, Stage C spreading of nodule locally and Stage D cancer spreading to other parts called metastasis. Stages A through D are on the ascending scale as regards the severity.

In the other system called Gleason scaling, the progress of the prostate cancer is evaluated. This system uses a scale running from 2 to 10. It is evaluated that the cancer growth is stable and will stay in a localized form. Aggressive cell formation is indicated in scale 7 and for scales 8 to 10, metastasis in severe form has started.

To the question whether there are any known methods for prevention of the occurrence of prostate cancer, the health professionals answered in the negative. However they agree that appropriate diet choice as well as lifestyle changes can mitigate the risk. The increased intake of pure oxygen by suitable exercising in open air is conducive to risk reduction and starting a low-fat diet rich in fruits, vegetables can also help.

.In order to prolong prostate cancer life expectancy, different treatment options is mooted. But as per Medical Review Boards, it takes about 10 years to complete detailed studies over a broad spectrum of patients, which is a costly proposition. So researchers have taken data from the past to compare treatments. This is called a retrospective study and is not very reliable.

Old men around 70 present another difficult pattern. As the prostate cancer is a very slow growing one, those elderly men's chances of succumbing to other ailments become a distinct possibility. Hence, slow growing prostate cancer might not be a big threat to them at all.

Prostate cancer survival is a complicated issue. Various factors come into play like race, food habits, and lifestyle determines the onset of the disease. The treatment options also have to be weighed against life expectancy predictions.
