<p>Structuring an Impressive Physical Exercise Schedule. One important factor a large number of people do not understand for a successful muscle building plan is that your muscle groups require a break after a hard exercise session. So concentrate on a couple of distinct body areas on every visit to the weight room, and then give those muscle groups 1-2 days off between - it truly helps them grow stronger. Pick three days of the week for bodybuilding and stick with them, irrespective of which days. Cardio workouts, alternatively, should be performed a minimum of 6 days a week. The same is true for abdominal muscle workout routines.</p>
<p>During the initial day of your schedule at the fitness center, exercise your torso and triceps. Pick 4 specific exercises concentrated on your chest and four others for your triceps. This is because an exercise journal allows you to track and analyze your progress. If you are able to analyze what puts you ahead and what sets you back, you know how to adjust your training program in order to make yourself stronger, healthier, and better.</p>
<p>Your exercise journal should be a detailed record of the muscle group trained, specific exercises, and how many reps you performed. As an example, you might train your biceps using arm extensions and dips. A typical journal entry would look like this: Triceps- Dips (6 reps), Arm Extensions (12 reps). Also, you should record the time of your total workout and each movement.</p>
<p>The more information you include, the more you will be able to analyze your progress. If you are just beginning with fitness over 40, there is no such thing as too many details. Eventually, you learn how you body responds to strength training and will be able to recognize which information is most helpful to modify your entries accordingly.</p>
<p>Another benefit to journaling is to be able to quickly identify when you overwork a muscle group and correct it. <p>Your warm up cardio, weights, and stretching should also be documented. If you find you are not making progress or are overly sore after training, this may be because you are not warming up properly. If you analyze when you have the most progress and compare that to the warm up performed during periods of no progress, you will probably be able to see how you need to adjust your routine.</p>
<p>Bodybuilders often chronicle their nutrition in their journals as well, including daily amounts of carbs, proteins, and fat. If you are bodybuilding over 40 this will be important because of your changing metabolism. You should also track the amount of calories you consume and when. If you are not building muscle appropriately, you may not be eating enough calories. If you are gaining unwanted weight, you may have to eat fewer calories or do more cardio.</p>
<p>It is also good to track your energy levels and motivation. Create a numbered rating system to describe your mood. Everyday, especially the day after training, record your number. Pay attention to the days you have the most energy and, more importantly, the days when you feel sore or sluggish. If you notice that changes you have made to your training program overly exhaust you or cause pain, you may have to lower the intensity a bit until your body adjusts.</p>

Years back, there had been a motorcycle accident when someone had torn off the right rotator cuff. His insurance essentially covered him thru good physical care. Although it was good, results were not fast enough to satisfy him. The exercises planned by the physical therapists were not sufficient for him, the guy acquired two dumbbells to work out on his own to boost and speed things up. Well, the dumbbells were acquired in a pair but it was not used till his right shoulder had enough strength to reveal the pressure. The other shoulder will also be worked on too, only when the time was right for him.</p>
<p>He wanted better and quicker results, to speed up the progress not being forced to go through surgery. Even though he went thru exercises recommended he still made use of the dumbbells in faith that it would help the process of his healing.</p>
<p>To perform the added exercises, he'd hold the dumbbells straight down and then lift his arm up sideways and straight out ten reps of 3 times. At first, he made use of the one pound dumbbell, and then moved up to five pounds slowly. When he first started to lift sideways with weights, it was tough and stressed. With progress, within just a few months he was able to lift his arms up to his shoulder height with the dumbbells. Soon enough, just as expected his shoulders healed typically and went back to the ordinary condition after the motorcycle accident.</p>
<p>Muscle building is usually good for the healthful body but even that it still have to be applied slowly in case the torn rotator cuff needs more time to cure. Aside from everything, his will and motivation of improving kept him going strong everyday exercising just to become ordinary once again. To become healthy and or fit, one must exercise thru their own will and power of want.</p>

<p>Use dumbbells to do your drop sets. The way to do it is to start out with the heaviest set of dumbbells you are going to use for your session, and do one set. Then do a repetition with a slightly light set, the next repetition with a lighter set again, and so on. Resting between each repetition is important, but so is pushing yourself a little beyond your comfort zone.</p>

Because most weight lifting pushes weight up and/or away from your body, negatives balance this out by pulling the weight toward you. That's why you need to use a bench press for negatives. Put the bar up high and slowly bring the weight toward you. Careful not to use too heavy weights for this.</p>
<p>Flexing is another important technique for building strength. Flexing should be carried out between each other type of weight training that you use in your routine - during the periods that you would call your resting periods. Flexing also ensures that you keep your muscles pumped throughout your routine.</p>
<p>Strip sets should always be done at the end of your weight lifting session. Stripping one or two plates from the set while you are performing your lifting routine will help you manage a larger number of repetitions with greater ease.</p>

<p>1) Calculating lean muscle mass: For this measurement you need a skin caliper which will give you percentage of body fat. Consider your percentage of body fat comes to 10% and you weigh 140 lb. That means your fat mass is 14 lb. Now to calculate lean muscle mass, subtract fat mass from total body mass. In this case it comes to 140-14=126lb.</p>

<p>3) Calculation of calorie intake to stay the same weight: Now let us find out your daily caloric intake by taking into consideration your level of activity. Multiply RMR by your Activity Index to calculate how much you need to maintain your current weight. If you are mostly sedentary, your activity index is 1.2. If you are moderately active, your activity index is 1.4. If you are very active, your activity index is 1.6</p>
<p>Continuing with our example, consider you lead a moderate lifestyle. Therefore to maintain your current weight you will need 1760x1.4=2464 calories.</p>
<p>4) Positive calorie intake to gain muscle mass: To gain muscle not fat, you need to eat about 500 more calories per day than the number you have calculated in the previous step. If you are indeed gaining fat you should cut down your intake by 250 calories and see how it goes. While if you are not building muscle it is essential to consume 250 additional calories.</p>

<p>Building muscle mass presents a different challenge than weight loss programs; whichever path you decide to pursue, retain the unrelenting attitude of a winner who will not take less than success in their training. For optimal muscle development, exercise only around 2 to 4 days a week and take the rest of the days off getting quality rest. That's right-it's time to start going home more because a permanent gym residence won't get you to your destination faster. Rest is actually an important body building factor. Sleep repairs torn muscle tissues and grows them back stronger and bigger than before.</p>
<p>As you lift weights, use momentum in ascend and control in descend. This increases your body's muscle mass, stamina and strength. Always check that you execute the exercises in the correct form so that you do not risk straining parts of your body. Healthy food choices should still be your choice of fare. Get as much protein, carbohydrates and fiber as you can in your meals. An imbalance of testosterone and oestrogen (the main sex hormones) is at the root of most namboobs. An excess of estrogen will cause a feminization of male bodies, with curvy hips and breasts as a result. This of course makes it a slightly more complex issue than just too much fat - fit and healthy men still get man boobs because of hormones.</p>
<p>Firstly you need to lessen the estrogen in your body. Doing this by increasing testosterone can have disastrous results for some, because sometimes man boobs are a result of the body converting testosterone to estrogen, you get the picture! <p>A carefully planned pre-workout meal will ensure that you always enter the gym at peak strength and will provide your body with the necessary tools to battle the weights as effectively as possible.</p>
<p>The meal you eat before working out must accomplish three things: 1. Making you as strong as possible. 2. During the workout you should provide your mind and muscles with a constant stream of balanced energy. 3. You will be minimizing the muscle breakdown process in addition to providing the necessary tools to help your body recover post-workout.</p>
